If open baffle, a smaller baffle. If sealed cabinet, a smaller volume, or open baffle.

Might be counter-intuitive, but a series cap can actually increase LF output at and just below the impedance peak of a sealed box.
You'll need to put a low-value resistor (lossy) across the speaker before a series cap has the desired effect.

I am leaning for open baffle use with 15 inch woofer. Reduce the lf from fr so less strain for the driver

The problem i have right now are the parameters for the FR. fostex fe203 @16ohms. I sent an email for parameters but unfortunately they dont have it since it was discontinued product 1970’s.
Can you elaborate further your recommendation thru diagram. I apologize for being slow.
