Can you give me some advice on how to save music from Apple Music? I need some tracks as MP3s (for video editing) and wondered if I could use my subscription coupled with a software to record and store them. Thanks!

Why would you need MP3s? You can easily download your tracks on your iPhone/iPad for offline playback
Basically you can use any software capable of recording audio streams. There are a lot of good applications around e.g. Tunebite. Here's a good guide specifically how to download from Apple Music: http://audials.com/en/how_to_record_stream_capture_music_videos_movies_from/apple_itunes.html

You might buy the tracks in mp3/flac/alac format and then download them from somewhere else. That would be more "fair use" than recording from a streaming service.
Or just buy the CDs. You would be surprised how cheap they can be on amazon or half.com

Try www.jamendo.com and check the licenses - most are OK to use if you refer back to the sources in your "after texts" - do it right and sleep well.

Audio hijack from rogue amoeba is very useful for grabbing or re-directing audio to and from any mac application. You can use it for streaming sounds to an airplay device from an app that doesn't have that capability. This software can also do what you want to do I believe.
