Looks like a good contender. Easiest would be a relatively small basreflex cabinet. Other options would be bandpass (also relatively small) or horn loaded (relatively big).

The sub will be mostly use for music and my system consist of a rega mira integrated, rega planet cd and my speakers are the Paradigm Studio 80. My goal is to build a sub that will match my Studio 80. Another possibility for the sub is a jl audio 12W7 that a friend of mine want to sell for about 270$. The only problem that i can see with this sub is to find a suitable amp to drive the 3ohm load. I saw some people driving it with a buttkicker amp. What do you think is the best thing to do for me ???
These appear to be car audio drivers and of the two, the JL is the better choice overall for your app. Anyway, there's plenty of inexpensive prosound amps that are stable into 2 ohm loads.

Ive used them in cars before and they sound nice. The design is very similar to some of the older Adire subs
