RCA tube amp woes/hum/ground

Okay.

I'll try it on DJ system first because that's where it's most important. However, I;m running out of time for this project. I have a gig tommorow night, but it's inside with no kids around.

Ian, if STILL hums after going through these steps, what are my other options?

Assuming the other parts of the system can drive a 10K load then the simplest solution would be to fit a 10K:10K bridging transformer to the RCA amp between the XLR and the input. Then connect external equipment across pins 2 and 3 only. That will break the loop.

Cheers

Ian
