i plugged in my rat 100 and almost immediately it started to smoke. I powered it off and now when I attempt the power it shorts out our circut breaker at home. No power is coming from the amp aside from a spark when I plug it in.
I know nothing about amps/electronics but I'm willing to start now as the tube rat is a badass amp deserving as much restoration as I can afford. It's either an '81 or '82 model. 120 vac 6o ha 250w.
Currently I'm attempting to gently disassemble it to look for signs of damage. Any suggestions please?
