Quality amp recomendations

Reciently I purchased a couple of "old school" Soundstream amps. Reference 404, which is under repair, Refernce 300. I am putting together a system for myself and have always liked Soundstream. All the information I read says that all current day amps are pretty much trash. Question: does anybody still make quality amps, or should I just buy the old stuff. I also have a couple os PPI Sedona series amps, which have served me well. I am looking for a moderate power 4 channel amp for my son's car.
Thanks

Lothar34 is right. Its all a matter of budget now. Most everything is made in Hong Kong or Korea.
But there are still a few original products left out there. TRU is handmade in So.Cal. if your looking American and handmad.

Original designs that I know of are TRU, Phoenix Gold, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, ZED, Helix, and MTX. I'm sure there are a few more but these come to the top of my mind right now.

ZED makes some really nice amps since they started marketing their own products. You might remember that ZED built all of the early Hifonics, and Autotek, Lanzar etc... and a couple others. Well they are back and this time with their own line up of amps just ping the net with their name. They should pop right up.🙂 🙂 🙂

Years of troublefree use will be hard to find from any product built overseas. They all suffer from poor assembly and a general lack of quality. But they are CHEAP to say the most. I know I open them all up everyday for a living. Good luck my friend😉
