Hello,
I just bought this sound level meter to check my other equipments including apps on iPhone: this device is just no good.
I borrowed a Bruel & Kjaer 4230 to generate the classical test tone at 94dB/1kHz. The Pyle was 8 to 9 dB below.
And I checked by the way my old friend radioshack 33-2050: still accurate after 20 years: less than 0.4dB below target !
Thus: don't buy this PYLE PSPL 33-2050.
And if it is too late, you can open it and adjust "LOW" with VR4 and "HIGH" with VR5. But take care: very sensitive (and consequently badly designed). VR1 acts on both but is much less sensitive. Maybe VR1 is for a first stage preamplifier.
If anyone has the schematic, thanks in advance.
