Pushing the limits of TDA1543 - Shunt Regulator

I'm currently getting the parts together to build a Peter Daniel and Bobken DAC;

Pushing the limits of TDA1543 NOS DAC

My question is to do with the shunt regulator, I understand the AD811 voltage regulator part, and realise the LM825 is drawn in backwards, as mentioned here;

Pushing the limits Regulator

But I don't know enough to figure out the CSS/BSP129 current/voltage source calcs and how it provides the constant current?

Could someone please give me a hand and point me in the right direction or give a little explanation to me how on this part works including some basic calcs?

Thanks,

Adam.
