Hi, Can anyone suggest a great signal hook up wire for wiring up a Preamp I am working on.
Cheers

A solid tinned copper #22 or #20 with teflon insulation is good. PVC insulation is ok.
But keep all wiring to a minimum.

Cat6 wire.
It's 23 gauge, and the good stuff is teflon insulated. Plus it's pre-twisted already. And it's high purity copper.
And it's cheap as dirt, and often free off you have a surplus from a job (and often you can find it in a bin)

Teflon brings high temperature insulation for ease of soldering and durability.Teflon brings nothing to the party and it's hard to strip.
I don't find it hard to strip with the correct tools.
All a matter of personal preference. Use what ever you like, since you are the only one who needs to deal with it.
Shield used for ground when I use the 2 wires for L/R channels. If I use the 2 wires for signal and ground then the shield is connected at the input side only to ground.Rabbitz, what do you do with the shielding?
