power supply interaction question

Hi all,

I have a question about potential effects of components in close proximity. My system consists of a Mccormakc DNA amp, an Aragon 18K MkII preamp and Meridian 506.20 CD player. All are in a one component wide cabinet.

The top of the Mccormack is 3" below the bottom of the preamp. Could the Mccormack transformer effect the preamp? Should I put a sheet of something under the preamp?

The top of the preamp is 1 1/4" below the bottom of the CD player. The preamp has a separate power supply that is not in the cabinet. Could the preamp still effect the CD player? Could the CD player effect the preamp?

In either case I could put a sheet of something under the CD player.

Thanks for the reply but that was rather vague. What numbers would you put on appropriate distances? Again, I'd like to use the cabinet so, are my components close enough to warrant some form of shielding between them?
