I'm trying to build an active crossover to use in my car, but I don't know how to build a power supply. Could anyone point me to a site that could give me more information?

These guys have crossovers, transistor and tube, power supplies, amp and XO kits, ect.
Might be a good lead for you.

Bwee,
If you need a symmetrical power supply you would build a self-oscillating power supply with linear regulators at output. With this topology you will decoupling the battery from the audio stages too.
You can find information about how to do this in the book "switchmode power supply design" - Keith Billings - ISBN 0-07-005330-8. in the part II - chapter 15. It is simple and easy to do (just a little transformer and two transistor plus few components). The linear regulators can be commercial IC's.

A much more simple arrangement would be to use an 'artificial earth'. See Project No. 32 at the ESP Audio Pages (www.sound.au.com) which gives details of an artifical earth arrangement specifically for pre-amps and active filters etc in car installations.
