posting pictures sideways

I have noticed that some members are uploading pictures sideways. I think this should be considered rude or a violation of rules. Is it such a problem to make sure all your pictures are up? If I see sideways uploaded picture, I turn my phone or tablet, and it automatically rotates it to sideways position again. Unless I download and save and correct the rotation, it can not be properly viewed. And I do not want to download necessarily.
So, now you know, all of you posting sideways pictures, you go straight to "ignore" list.

I do not think that people are purposely posting pictures sideways. The devices they are uploading from show the pictures upright, but after upload they are sideways. I get lots of requests or otherwise fix this often.

Dave is correct on this, heck, its even happened on a couple of mine that I posted. I found cropping the picture by a fraction (using Irfanview) 'fixed' the issue.

I have no explanation for why it happens though.
