Can everyone post pics and/or links to pictures of their completed amp projects and projects they are busy on to give us all something to admire, and especially to learn from. I'm always looking for new ideas on chassis construction and especially layout of components.
You could also post pics of the insides other commercial amplifiers.
This has got to be one of the most beautiful Krell amps i've ever seen. And that's just on the outside...

I'd say. The Krell construction looks pretty mid-fi.The Krell looks kind of flimsy. It has nothing on the XA200...

I think Krell is trying to get women to buy their stuff with that new look which I DON'T care for. I say bring back the old stying.
Krell might be going in the right direction in terms of company's financial statement. They probably knew too well that for a married couple, it's the women that has the check book.

Say, What is that meter on the front of the XA200, a thermostat?
If I build a big class A amp do my heating expenses go down in the winter?

No, but you have to admit, the construction of the Krell HT amp that this thread looks far less robust then the MRA pictured by Peter.Do you consider the Krell MRA as mid-fi?

That depends on how Your heatconsumption is registered, but in all cases Your electricity expences will go up.If I build a big class A amp do my heating expenses go down in the winter?
Any particular reason for the odd path's shape on filter caps board? Looks like it's longer this way. And who make this nice equipment, have to admit, never seen it before.😉
Maybe to get som inductance to mace a CLC filter... btw i still think my 80x8x160mm pure copper groundplane looks fatter =)

those are two of the most impressive pieces of audio kit i've ever seen. Makes you know what sort of level is possible with continued effort and practice i suppose.
