i am a bit new at this and was wondering if reg.polarized Electrolytic cap be substituted with non polarized Polypropylene Film Capacitors of the same value?
thanks it is good to see other in the same relitive time zone when your in the middle of something and need help
cheers

Just bear in mind that a polypropylene capacitor will be much larger than an electrolytic of the same value and voltage rating. Will it physically fit? Will its larger surface area mean much more stray capacitive coupling to adjacent components?
Yes and no.
depends were are placed.
One problem is dimension like DF96 highlighted.
Another one is were are placed in schematic, if are for coupling/decoupling or are for filtering the signal.
In special on loudspeakers filters, the ESR of capacitor need to be considered because are part of filter.
In case of coupling/decoupling exchange them together can generate oscillations.
