Hi friends,
seems that standard 2N2222 with metal can had disappeared. (I mean brand parts, not indefined clone).
Between PN2222 and KSP2222, what would be a good choice ?
Have a nice day

Multicomp do them. BTW 2N2222A is preferred over 2222 for switching, more power, more current.seems that standard 2N2222 with metal can had disappeared. (I mean brand parts, not indefined clone).

Farnell have only 73,852 in stock and a mere 407,595 for the A type. Multi comp, the manufacturer, has no plan for obsolescence.
On Semi's datasheet for KSP2222A says "Available as PN2222A"
Unless I had some well-defined reason to prefer the metal can, I'd probably choose these or similar from any other large foundry than the metal can part from a small one.
