I know this isn't the forum for this, but I am trying to get some information on troubleshooting these units.
If you have experience with troubleshooting, looking for some training data.
Thank You

It is a AVH-P5200BT The unit is totally dead. I have the service manual, and working my way thru the trouble shooting work flow , for a dead condition.
It appears that the /dsens line is causing the unit to stay in standby. It measures 2.29v and the flow chart says 1.15-1.95v for it to release the next standby condition.

I'm not suggesting that you blindly replace it but if this receiver has a flex cable for the display module/assembly, it could have an intermittent break.
I know those are a problem, I do know that the line I spoke of (dsens), is causing the unit not to come on. Its an analog voltage that is measured by the uCom, and I was able to trick it into booting up, at least to a point.
I was hoping that someone else in this group had some extensive knowledge of these units. They are all pretty similar.

Contact Pioneer and see if they have any service bulletins for this receiver.
Elektrotanya has a download for Pioneer service bulletins but I think they're for home equipment.
Not many people repair head units. This one may be but most are so cheap that they aren't worth the effort.
