Hi All
One of my colleagues used to own a repair shop and told me he had some swing arm lasers he once bought but never used.
He brought me one to show today....
They are NOS CDM4/31 with the PCB. The plastic triangle cover is still on the lens and motor but they have been in his garage for some time and are rather dusty. The lens cover says HASSELT ISP which I guess means these were made in Belgium.
What would be the best way to clean these?
What players used CD4/31 and can the optics be built into other players?
I suspect the optics are identical to CDM2 and CDM4/11 but it does not use a hall motor...
Would there be any interest in these?
I have no idea what the guy would want for them.....
Thanks
G

It is a drop-in replacement for cdm2. Somebody found these at a german dump supplier and distributed several of them for some members. I have a spare already.
Think it was from a guy called Till, do a search in the digital section.

The guy needs to have dig in his garage to tell me how many he has and what he would want for them. He takes a long time with stuff like this. I knew about these 3 months ago and it took me until now to get him to show me a sample......
I will keep pestering him and post/e mail as soon as I know more....
PS, Justone: Are the CDM9 optics you sell brand new non refurbished original Philips?

Hi!
The KSS190A is "rarer than rar". Many people ask me for KSS-190A...
I think the only way to fix a SONY-Mashine with KSS-190A is to send compleate Player to SONY-centralservice. (=>that is a SONY-Information!)
Hope you can fix it!
Best regards
