Well, as I promised in another topic, I bring you pictures of my new speakers.
I started making a BR design, which can be seen in the following photos:
Then I built a sealed design:
I ended up liking most the sealed boxes. The midwoofer is a Peerless 830875, And the tweeter is a Seas H1189. I use an active crossover for them.
As you will see my carpentry skills are not the best. I have seen projects in this forum that they leave in shame to me. Please note that with this project I learned to use many new tools for me.
Also thank you very much for the help you gave me throughout 2010, with concepts such as diffraction (and how to avoid it), baffle step, tips, and more.
Finally, I hope to return with another project before February.

Are you going to keep the edges of enclosures square, or possibly round them over?
Wood work looks good, as flushing the woofers looks good!
I am curious to see why you preferred the Sealed enclosures. How did the ported enclosures compare in sound quality?
I usually go for sealed as well on smaller speakers when using subs.

The sealed edges are rounded in the sealed design.
In this case, I prefer the sealed enclosure because I use subwoofers (dual 15"). Without them, it´s neccesary to equalize.

Well done.
You and your router with the plunging base do nice work. Cutting the opening for the woofer with the truncated sides looks like it was a challenge.
Please tell us your listening impressions of the differences between the ported vs. sealed enclosures?
