Hello Mr. Pass,
I´m going to build a chassis for the ZEN V4.
The problem is, that i don`t know the exact size of the PCB´s (power supply, current source + gain stage).
When do you finish the highly expected article?
regards
Günter

Karen is testing the production board as you read this.
Probably the article and art will be released early next week.
Boards will be available for sale immediately.

On Friday I'll post a pic of the board,
along with dimensioning.
The board does not include the parts for the unregulated
portion of the power supply (ie xformer, big caps, bridge )

Heatsink
The same old heatsink question again.
How much heatsink do I need ... say ...relative to Aleph 2?
I want to start ordering the non-electrical parts.

With a 50 volt unregulated rail, the channel dissipates
100 watts. It can also be set up to dissipate 67 watts
with lesser bias. This means a .25 deg C /watt seat
sink for each channel with the 100 watt setting.
The prototype sink was 13" deep with 1" fins spaced at
.3 inches and a 4 inch height. It is not really adequate
for the 100 watt dissipation (although if you arrange for
a breeze, it is). For the 100 watt figure, a 6 or 8 inch
height would about do it.
