Hello All,
Finally getting to wiring up my Pascal Modules - purchased two Pascal T-PRO2 II modules from fellow DIYAudio member here a whle back... and just purchased two Eval modules for buffered input (XLR CH1 CH2)
But only now realized its the Eval Unit for the S-PRO2... are they interchangable? I know these S-PRO2 Eval modules have switches for BTL, but the T-PRO2 modules are 150W / 500W, and cannot / should not be bridged.... Also two jumpers - one for TEMP/VAC and one for 4 Ohm BTL...
Any help out there?
And Datasheet refers to T-PRO2 II Application Manual...where is the Application Manual for these T-PRO2 II units? Cannot find anywhere...

I think it will work as the differences only seem to be in the control pins, but there are at least three versions of the supposed "standard" 26-pin interface for the Pascal modules. I can't find the details I got at the moment, but you can follow my attempts at creating a standard input board here: https://theslowdiyer.wordpress.com/2020/11/24/project-files-pascal-i-o-adapter/
The Pascal application manuals are only available to their customers. A couple of them are floating around online, but as far as I can see not the T-Pro one.

OK, I removed the two jumpers for TEMP/VAC and 4 Ohm BTL (yellow / red jumpers) and plugged everything in...
Fired right up... just need to find my hot wax gun...
And one more question...since these are 500w & 150W Class D units, if I just wanted to use the 500w only, can I leave the 150w outputs unloaded? Class D amp OK sans load?

For what it's worth I'm running a pair of these, using Nisbeth's input boards (thanks!! 🙂) and I often just run the bass channels without any inputs connected to the HF channels. Seems to be ok so far ?I have never seen any warnings against running these with unloaded channels so I think it is OK, but not 100% sure.
Curious to know what these eval boards do as I see a few knock offs on AliExpress. Is there any additional gain? Do they do a bal to SE conversion (can't remember but maybe the spro is balanced) ? Took me a little while with Nisbeth and Felix's help to finally twig that the TPro is single ended input only.

These input boards are buffers as the inputs to these Pascals are low impedance...should have no or little gain....Nisbeth can confirm...
Hmmm, Odd....so these Pascal amps are the product of ex-Icepower engineers....and all Icepowers I know are all Lowish impedance, balanced input....so Pascals are all Single ended low impedance? I did not know that.
What is also odd is that Red Dragon has an amp that has the Pascal S-Pro2 modules (500w/500w) and the Bridged speaker connection is one channel Positive speaker out and other channel negative speaker out..how is this done if Pascals are single ended?
Thinking about this is making my head hurt...
EDIT - just reread previous post...and think I am mixing up balanced input with BTL output

(but maybe the spro is balanced)

Most are fully balanced I think, but some like the T-pro are single ended but I found the pin out documentation confusing because it looks a bit like there is a + and - on the input pins but they just tie SGND and AGND. My head hurt too. 😆 I'm fairly inexperienced though so best not to trust what I write lolPascals are single ended
