opa549 sub amp prob

i have paralleled two opa549s for a 2 ohm sub i have. everything on the circuit is what it should be except the rin is 68K instead of 47K because this is what i had. the music is very distorted. i am using 42dcv anybody know what it could be?

Are you using +/-42 VDC? The limit of the 549 is +/-30 VDC. That can be the cause.

no it is +-21vdc

i also have another question my transformer has two outputs: +-42vdc and also it has other secondaries of +9v,-9v i was wondering if i can use the +42v and the -9v to get a total of 51vdc a little more for my amp because i have a fully working 2 channel amp each channel consists of 2 opa549s bridged

For low impedance loads like 2 ohm, you need more current rather than more voltage...

Hello.

I just wondered if anybody could help me:
Im building a mono power amp using two paralleled opa 541.
any recomendations(sorry my poor english! I am a norwegian)
sould i use one as a slave?
Or two paralleled circuits with the same gain?

And... Recomended gain? recomended opa in gainstage?

The most likely reason for this is instability. Make sure all the power supply decoupling capacitors are connected as close as possible to the power pins on the chip.
