I am turn to you all for advice as in genral so far you lot have been more pragmatic than some other audio site.
I do not wnat another software audio player, but i do want a better audio media management pakskage.
I use MAC, iPad and ipods for the car, and itunes is fine enough. I use cog as a player on the mac and XLD as a converter, i have also used switch on occasion.
Now I have an Colorfly inbound I am looking for better media manager. I want to be able to deal with multiple versions of files / albums in alac 16/44.1 for the pods, flacs versions as high as 24/192. I dont see the point of up cds when ripping, but do buy HD content on line.
The issue is for the mac I can't seem find a good audio media database thatrotects tag info, understands version relationships, allows multiple storage. Locations etc.
It definately need not play, or rip or format convert.
Adobe Lightroom for audio comes to mind.
Any ideas, or it this a development opportunity?
Tony.
