I had WinISD on my old XP machine, worked great. I tried to download it tonight and got an error saying I didn't have a compatible OS (running W7 64bit). So I tried the WinISD Alpha, it would run but I couldn't enter any driver parameters and get a result. The instructions say to enter the fewest parameters possible, and let the program calculate. I tried entering the bare minimum first field (Qts, Qes, Qms and Vas I think they were) and got errors, tried entering every TS on the sheet and got errors. Just never could get any result.
So I was messing around and thought I'd try WinPCD. Got several "Network Error" on the download, but was finally able to download a 4.3Mb .zip file a couple of times, but it wouldn't extract. Errors on that.
It's not my computer, I download and extract and run stuff normally quite a bit, but these programs just won't play nice.
Anybody want to give a SB Satori MW16P-8 a go? I have the .75 cu. ft. PE curved cabinet, 1.875" ID or 2.375" ID port tubes. Just ballpark curves, F3 in the 40's maybe?

If you paid for a Satori, you owe it to yourself to buy some good software and model it properly. Just my opinion, but you wouldn't do justice to that woofer by relying on others to post enclosure information when they don't have any chance of measuring that driver.

The above suggestions for compatibility mode are the best bet, sometimes installing to a non-standard location (ie not c:\program files x86) can also help.
If you have excel you could try unibox it is my preferred modeling program.

Just modeled in unibox 19L (subtracted a bit speaker crossover etc) and 39Hz tuning with the small port. Doesn't look too bad. Details attached.
The small port will probably give wind noise if pushed though. The tradeoff with the bigger port is a bigger and lower port resonance.

I could get it to run, but any time I would enter any T/S parameters (and try to save the info as a driver), I would get a pop up box (and I'm going off memory here) with several strings of parameters that had compatibility issues and it wouldn't let me save it.
I kept backing out with less and less parameters, until finally down to the very first four, and it would still give the pop up error, saying the parameters had compatibility (I don't think compatibility was the word, something like it) issues and it wouldn't take it. So down to the bare minimum parameters and still compatibility issues, I decided to give it up.
The previous WinISD, not the ProAlpha, was the one that said my OS was wrong. I'll try the different compatibility modes/running in 32 bit programs and see if I can get it to run.
Thanks to the others who replied, I was just looking for a rough ballpark. I can fine tune the box, but having a realistic starting point will make things a lot simpler.

The zip file size for v1.201 should be 4,509,619 bytes. I don't know why you would have any difficulty with the download.

As far as free/no-longer-supported software goes, it's a useful learning tool... including how the T/S parameters interact.

Only enter two of the three, Qts, Qes, Qms, the program will automatically calculate the third parameter.

I can enter the parameters just fine, and the program calculates the unknowns pretty close (really close in some instances). But that's it. I can't run any simulations, I get a pop up box saying the values are conflicting for the parameters I've entered - even when I've only entered the bare minimum.
Maybe I can load it again and take a screen shot, I don't think you and jeff are quite catching my drift on where the hold up is.

Right, I was just going for the crossover design. On your program, I can't get the .zip file to extract. I get a Windows error message saying the folder can't be unzipped (or something like that) and to contact the software developer. I will try to get a screenshot of this error as well.
I uninstalled/deleted all instances of both programs, and tried downloading them all in both Chrome and IE, it's baffling. I'll give them all another whirl this evening, I've got a bit of a bug and don't feel like going anywhere.
And thanks for that link, passinwind, I'll give that a go as well.
OK David, WinPCD loaded without a hitch. I've already watched your YouTube tutorials, many thanks for that.
And the direct link passinwind posted also got WinISD going, have the stock parameters loaded to play with, I'll run the actual parameters and load them in the next few days.

What's the plan for the rest of that system?
I had a pair of ScanSpeak 9700 tweeters already, and bought these Satori drivers when they came down $100/ea. So I was planning on making a simple 2-way just to get started. I have S&L Speaker Tester, but never loaded it onto the W7 machine. Now I've finally got it up and running and have been playing with it. I just wanted the other programs to bounce off each other. The S&L ST has a bit of a learning curve, but I can tell the T/S measurements, even though the drivers haven't been broken in, are darn close to published - I must be near the right track.
