i've recently become interested in no-input sounds and feedback processes. for example i have a guitar effects unit that has two outputs. i'll take one output and feed it back into its input. this creates a feedback loop of noise generated by the mechanical/electrical noise of the unit itself. i can then listen to this feedback loop via the pedal's other output.
i'm wondering now how i can feed different audio into this feedback loop. for example, i've already tried plugging a y-splitter into the unit's input such that the feedback loop is in play and i can plug another instrument in. however, the instrument sound does not seem to ENTER the feedback loop - it is as if the instrument sound has a parallel line to the same output as the feedback loop sounds.
how might i be able to feed input INTO the loop?
