Nine pin tube sockets with stainless mounting rings?

Does such a thing exist? I find many of these get dull and even get corrosion on them over time. Should I just buy the cheesy looking gold plated ones? This is for the top mount ceramic sockets that practically everyone sells.

Use bottom mounted sockets and then you don't see it. 😛 it's also nice because you can move the circuit without taking it all apart. Otherwise spray them with automotive clear coat?

Maybe. I like top mount sockets though. Either way I need to order some, so I guess I'll try some of each.

Motivation to clean up the holes better I suppose 🙂

Are the holes you make worse that the one in my photo? The gap serves as a vent 😛

Sometimes, yes. I use bimetal hole saws for most of my holes, although sometimes a stepped bit depending on what I am doing 🙂

Ah. Ya I use a stepped bit these days 🙂 Makes a pretty nice hole if you take your time.
