Nine pin tube sockets with stainless mounting rings?

Does such a thing exist? I find many of these get dull and even get corrosion on them over time. Should I just buy the cheesy looking gold plated ones? This is for the top mount ceramic sockets that practically everyone sells.

Use bottom mounted sockets and then you don't see it. it's also nice because you can move the circuit without taking it all apart. Otherwise spray them with automotive clear coat?

Maybe. I like top mount sockets though. Either way I need to order some, so I guess I'll try some of each.

Motivation to clean up the holes better I suppose

Are the holes you make worse that the one in my photo? The gap serves as a vent

Sometimes, yes. I use bimetal hole saws for most of my holes, although sometimes a stepped bit depending on what I am doing

Ah. Ya I use a stepped bit these days Makes a pretty nice hole if you take your time.
