I have purchased a alpine pdx-5 (4 x 100w) and alpine pxe-h660 signal processor to install in my 2011 Sonata. I'll be using the stock head unit so I'll need to run the speaker out wires to the processor, rca cables between processor and amp, output speakers wires to 4 doors (sub to be added later.
I've never done an install like this before so I'm need info on the best way to route wires and cables.
I have a 4ga wire kit and plan on mounting each unit under the front seats. I understand it is best to keep the power wires away from the speaker wires but...
1. Where is the best place to route the power wires so they don't get pinched, down the center console or down the side?
2. How do you install the ground cable to the car? Find an existing bolt (seat bolt maybe) or screw it directly to the car chassis under the seat?
3. Screwing down the amp and processor... do you just drill some holes through the carpet under the seats and use sheet metal screws to secure them?
Thanks advance for you help
