Dear all,
I'm a new member from Aachen / Germany. I'm 46 y old and working as a system architect for medical x-ray machines. I came to the HiFi hobby by a former collegue who later (next to his regular job) started an own small business on high end amplifiers. During a coulple of listening sessions he also told me about his modifications on some gear. Thus I also started to learn about tweaks and tricks lurking on the net on different sites.
Doing so I came across this great site with a lot of tips and expertise and obviously very few flamewars which you come unfortunately across everywhere where people are emotionally involved.
My gear:
Thorens TD320 Turntable
Sony CDP XA50 CD-player (modded)
Philips 963SA SACD-player (modded)
Array Audio Ph-1 phono preamp
Array Audio S1 stero power amp
home brewn passive preamp
Wilson Audio Witt 1 speakers
home brewn interlinks
Happy listening!
Rainer

Not really. When Hifi started to become a serious hobby, I even was CD believer. So I did not listen to my Vinyl for some years.
But then I missed 'my' music, re-activated the Thorens. and found that analog also can be rael Hifi. So I bought a 2nd hand Rega RB250, designed an armboard and now I am a happy Viny listener (though I'd love to buy a better turntable. Unfortunately they are expensive...)
