I found this very interesting especially considering the hifi world. Not only can there be a mechanical difference in hearing i.e hearing damage etc. But our brains literally interpret sound differently depending on our upbringing, environment, plus some yet to be understood reasons. https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/video/your-brain-perception-deception/
I feel like audio heads learn to work with this stuff.
We talk about tricking our brain with time alignment fr. But I guess the most surprising part for me is just how differently our different brains can interpret the same sound. Again not due to hearing differences (young vs old 20k, etc) but interpretive difference.
