It looks like one of the philips or osram energy saver flourescent household bulbs. My original experiment was with one of those. Ok for acetate projection but put an LCD screen/panel on there, becomes too dark and that's even with the lights ot and totaly blacked out. Won't work with the LCD panel on there so it's a no no.
