Some of the new P67 motherboard manufacturers are claiming high SNR with the on-board sound, over 105dB which is better than I ever got with my circa 2007 pro soundcard.
The soundcard market is a bit screwed up with regards to sandy bridge as many old faithfuls are proving to be incompatible with the non-native PCI lanes on Cougar point.
Has anyone any experience with measurment using the onboard P67 Gigabyte ADC's? Is the noise really -100 dB?
If not can anyone recommend a decent budget PCIE soundcard for taking FFT measurements?
