My quick and ugly boxes are about 50L tuned to 42hz, if I remember correctly. I am experimenting with plugging the ports for use with my sub. They don't really need a sub, but 25hz sure is fun. My baffles are large, at 25*16 inches. I've currently go them about a foot off the floor tilted back. The images are a little low at that height (the drivers aren't fully at the top of the baffles). I'm not using any BSC at the moment, and the midbass feels a bit stronger with them closer to the floor. I've tried them a couple inches off the floor and tilted back farther, but it sound too muddy and the image is too low for my taste. Of course, I'm usually up in the cheap seats when I go to the orchestra, so I'm used to that.

I've watched your thread on an MLTL for the hemps. I'd like to design one, but alas, my poor mac won't run MathCad. I also think it would end up being to large for my tastes. Though I don't have the model to back it up, my suspicion is that the hemps would work better in a more classic TL. I would not be allowed to put that in the living room. I can't say enough good things about the hemps. If you don't own a pair yet, buy 'em and drop them in something. You'll be very happy.

Any comments on the Diy HiFi drivers?

Interesting driver for a reasonable price. Looks like a big Veravox3. Off axis would be nice to see, but otherwise, looks quite good. Time will tell if it gives the CS125 a run for its money.
Sure looks that way - on paper😉 .
Maybe there is a bipole fullrange project in my future...

Cheers,

AJ
