I've read remarks here that indicate tying two plates together in a dual triode tube is a deliberate distortion generator. I assume even more non-linear than the signal through a single triode element.
Paralleling devices doesn't change their curves, just doubles the power handling. If they are identical.


Assuming its not an anode and a screen grid cap and is a single tetrode or something like that. Careful examination of the connections should narrow down the options.
