In looking for a pair of bookshelves on craigslist, I came across a guy selling a pair of passive subs he said his father in-law had build approx. 9 years ago.
Unfortunately, his father in-law passed a few years ago and he has no idea what subs were used in the cabinets. He did say they were driven by tube amps though, so I'd guess they're at least efficient.
The actual boxes are quite large... They're 70x9.75x21.5 and seem to be put together really well.
Now for the subs, I don't see any real markings on them for a manufacturer, so I'm at a loss as to what brand/model they could be. The subs themselves are 15".
I'm including some pics I took in hopes someone can identify them so I know what kind of power I'd use to drive them. Seeing as they were driven by a tube amp, I'm guessing I don't need some 1000 watt class D amp for these.
