Please bear with me, i'm new... 🙂
Does anybody know if and where a NEC 1545 LCD can be purchased in the UK. I have searched through literaly hundreds of posts, but i cant search for UK as it is less than three letters long. I have googled and everything, but hold out hope that somewhere i have missed something..
If, as i am beggining to suspect, it cannot be got over here can anyone recommend a good alternative for me? I was looking at the BenQ models, until i read here that they do not do enough colours 🙁 Hmmm, living in the UK can be a right pain sometimes.. 🙁
BTW, thanks for all the help i have gained from this forum - i ran across it almost by accident yesterday and my head hasn't stopped spinning yet - i can't wait to get started but really need to source all my parts first as i cant afford another 'nearly' complete DIY job...

Its not sold anymore exept on ebay so thats the only place it is to be had, other then that you can gamble and buy something else and see if it can be taken apart. Other then that I dunno, mabe look around for the good ol standby projection panel.
here I can buy one "refurbished" from futureshop for 349$ CND
But I think I'll wait for a better one that i'll extend the flex cable.

In that case i might well consider the NEC 1560VM - it has 450:1 contrast, 25ms response time and is better than my current LCD so at least if is doesnt come apart too easily i will not have wasted my money. Only problem is it is a new model, so the prices are around £270 at the moment - which will eat into my £450 self imposed budget - oh well, got to get started sometime 🙂
If anyone has heard bad things about this monitor please let me know.....🙂
