Hi
My 7155 combined volume/balance pot is beyond repair. I'm wondering if anyone has heard of a potential source for a replacement? The pot has an eight pin volume in front of a 6 pin balance and the volume I think is tied to the loudness circuit somehow from reading around.
If I replace the volume only (feasible, I can get an 8 pin Noble or Alps and the Noble is OK for loudness end of things), can anyone point me in the direction of some instructions on bypassing the 6 pin balance control?
Thanks in advance

If you need to bypass the balance control, disconnect the two ungrounded pins of each section
of the balance control from the pcb, and short together the pads where the pins were.

The volume/balance pot has been removed so when the new volume one is installed there will be nothing in place where the balance pot was. Do the ground pins need to be connected also?

Volume pot?
Hi, I am in the same boat but w/ a 7140 unit. The Alps pot is pretty shot and will need a replacement. I'm fine w/ disabling the balance control. Let me know what you end up getting, thank you.
