I got my Sharp QA-1150 last week. I just got my lens today. I immediatly went to work even though i didnt have half the materials. Basicaly heres what i got so far.
I got 2 card board boxed. The smaller one has my everyday use 100watt light bulb. the second has my lcd panel and at the end i got the lens. The image sucks. I cant make out anything, and i see an upside down lightbulb. and sum stuff moving aorund it.. but cant really tell. If i go get a fresnel wil this allow me to acctualy see an image that i can make out? Or is the problem elsewhere? im plannin on a 400w MH setup aswell.. and have this all enclosed in a wood box allowing no lite to escape. I see other peoples projects and see they have no trouble makin out images and stuff.. what do u guys out there recommend?

Just a quick question if u dont mind
why will i need a condensor lens? wouldnt a fresnel be able to do the trick by its self?

What does the condensor lens do? can u give me a link or tell me igzactly what kind i will need

same with the fresnel? what kind? where?

You do need a fresnel

You do need a fresnel, but make sure it is a double layered fresnel and not a single type that you would see on the back window of an RV. A condensor lens, well I am not sure, but try to make sure all the light it directed through the fresnel and not everywhere else. A shop light reflector would work great. Not having the fresnel is why you are seeing your lightbulb more so than the image. Hope this helps.
