Multi path

Hello All!

I have a question an capasitors and their path-way to tweeter. Say one would use a single cap value of 4.7uf in series with a tweeter on one project, but on another use several small caps who's value sum to the same 4,7uf value! Which would sound better, is there a different sound? Electronically is there a difference in resistance. I've read that some decigners take this route! Do you?

Capacitors in parallel add up in value so its fine to use multiples to achieve the required value. The resistance with the multiples will be less, say .02ohm instead of .1 ohm, but either way would not be significant compared to the tweeter resistance.
I would only consider multiples if I needed very high values or needed to reach an unusual total value or had an electrolytic capacitor that I bypassed with another cap. Generally best to just use the best capacitors you can afford and keep things simple as possible.
