hello all, new here but seen a lot of good stuff so I signed up. I’m repairing a mtx 1000d amplifier, and I need help identifying a component. From what I can find in resources, it’s a small transformer, located on the pcb as t471, has 8 pins and is yellow. There is no part numbers on it to cross reference, but mine is pretty ugly and looking like maybe water damaged. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Hello,
Definitely a transformer, but with zero labels, no clue as to how it is wired. You really need to find a service manual for this unit. Parts breakdown should get you a part number and can go from there.

I know that but I can’t find a schematic for it, it is a very rare model. I had one when I was 18 and I just bought this one off eBay six months ago, after two years of searching for this exact model, and it came from canada(I’m in USA). to put it in better context, if you scour the mtx archives on their website there is no mention or admission of knowledge of existence of this model, but others in this limited series. I know someone out there has something to offer. From what I’ve seen/read/watched on the internet, the 1501d, 81000d and maybe others had similar pcb boards with the same component I’m looking to identify and could maybe provide some insight to the matter. Otherwise I will have to wait a few more years to find another working unit or a parts unit to figure it out….but I’m hoping to find out sooner than that. Again;any and all help appreciated. Thanks
