Trying to replace the voice coils after an overzealous 25 yr old used the car.
I need a ferrofluid 101 primer. I assume that is the black/gray stuff is on top of the magnet. How does this stuff stay out of the voice coil gap, or does it matter?? The little white felt circle just rests on the top of the magnet, with nothing holding it on? Is the ferrofluid all it's cracked up be?
Should I just stick on the replacement assembly and wire it up?
