More Zen IV Progress

Well I have had the last couple of Saturday's off from working on the chassis of my Zen IV because the owner of the machine shop at which I have been doing the fabrication is on vacation. See thread http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27658 for my original post. I have decided to build the electronics with what I have done of the chassis so far. The electronics is now done and working so all I have left to do is fabricate the front panel, top panel and front handles before it goes for annodizing and powder coat. Here are some pictures of the progress to date. Thanks for looking.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

kilowattski,

I found my capacitors 2nd hand at the same time I salavaged my heatsinks. I don't think the guy even charged me for them as he only charged me on the aluminium.

The must be an old design as they're like half the capacitance as yours (34,000uF 50V) and look like twice the height.

I like to ask, is there a reason why computer grade screw terminal electrolytics are so much bigger than the snap-in mount ones of the same capacitance???

BQ

PS: what size VA are your toroidals?
