I do not know why went so unnoticed.. there is only few tweeters which can be used below 2kHz, and this one looks very usable..

Measurements are essential..Good find. Can't see any reviews online for some strange reason.
Klang+Ton and Hoby HiFi 1/2014..
Hey
Here is a non-commercial project with some measurments. You can email the guy and he will probably send more info on the tweeter. Very friendly and competent dude.

Looks like a nice tweeter - can you get them in the US easily?
@sayrum: nice speaker design in that link. A TQWT 2-way passive speaker with impressively flat frequency response and deep bass extension. Similar could be built with Dayton RS180P-8 and RS28A-4. Would need to develop new XO though.

Good tweeter, also have small distortion even below 2kHz..Similar could be built with Dayton RS28A-4..
Monacor have better off-axis response, but someone like 'dark' sound..
I am follow the subject with great interest . What happens with tweeters and whether you gonna ask for replacement of the defect one?
I waited one month for answer from Monacor 'loudspeaker expert'.. yesterday he said that tweeter is in defect..
But they don't want to send me replacement, and Kamm Lautsprecher ask me to send them broken tweeter that they send it to Monacor?!
So, my advice is to avoid these crooks, Monacor and Kamm..

In the meantime I received another message from Kamm Lautsprecher, they ask me again to send them defective driver first..
I decide to open dispute on paypal and request money back, because I don't want to waste my time and money fot their mistakes..
Monacor 'expert' offered me replacement, but they also want to send them defective driver first..
I could understand the whole confusion if driver is 5000$ worth..

Just got a call from Monacor, they will send me replacement tweeter, defective will end up in the trash.. this was the only logical solution..
Advice to avoid Kamm Lautsprecher still remains..

Hi, my Name is Frank and I am acoustical Engineer by Monacor International. The DT-350NF was one of my Babies and I have developed this Tweeter in Cooperation with the german manufacture.
In the past we have no Problems with this tweeter about dispersion in the serial production. The Measurements that you sent me are not very meaningful. Therefore, I would like to control the tweeter.
The reason why this took so long is because I had 4 weeks vacation
Best regards

Drivers are measured without front panel, on air, with identical xover and distance (1m).. there is very small diference from 5 to 8kHz, and not so small from 8 to 20kHz..The Measurements that you sent me are not very meaningful.
My question was is that normal or not..
@Frank_HB , I think it is customary in vein of good customer service, that if the manufacturer provides a defective product, they make arrangements to return the defective product w/o expense to the customer.
I can see it very valuable from your point that you would want to get this product back to see if and why it is defective.

First thing that cross my mind was damped coupling volume for a low resonant frequency.. maybe damping can make that difference..The DT-350NF was one of my Babies and I have developed this Tweeter in Cooperation with the german manufacture.
In the past we have no Problems with this tweeter about dispersion in the serial production..
Second was double magnet system with drilled pole core.. tweeter with worse frequency response above 8kHz have outer magnet 1-2mm eccentrically mounted.. but I don't think that can cause problem, maybe damping..
FR of the 'defective' tweeter looks like the little phase plate that normally sits inside the grid cover to boost high frequency on axis has become loose or is missing.
This can easily be checked by close inspection.

Now I'm thinking about RS180-4 and RS28A-4..Similar could be built with Dayton RS180P-8 and RS28A-4..
Defective Monacor drivers sent back to Germany..
