Measure/Adjust Idle current on Optonica SA-5105

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to measure and adjust the idle current on an Optonica SA-5105. I have a service manual and there is no mention of idle current adjustment at all.

I am very new to this, so perhaps I missed something.

Schematic/service manual does not seem to be available online. Please post a clip of the schematic showing the main amplifiers

Thanks for the reply. Here's the schematic and a photo of the inside of the receiver. Amps are screwed to the left side of the heat sinks.

I probably shouldn't even be messing with this thing. I just bought it. It was new, in the box for 40 years, still in plastic with all the paperwork. It sounds great to me. But I'm curious, I'm 51,and I need something to fiddle with.

No accessible bias or offset adjustments. The bias circuitry is included in the hybrid power module (STK).

Ah. OK. Well, that's probably good. I shouldn't be fiddling with it anyway. It's absolutely mint. I'll find something else to mess with.
