Hi
Does anyone know the difference between the two ?
It's for a Sony dual tape deck with TCM-190 Mechs.
Both are dual speed & I can't find datasheets.
Decks are working fine after belts & pinch rollers replaced.
Cracked function motor gear was also replaced but speed starts always 1-1.5% faster & after 30 sec-1min it stabilizes on the recording deck. Even if I put it on rec-pause mode and wait for the stabilization time the same happens.
Tomorrow I will swap the motors for further testing.
Thank You.

Sorry, I don't have any helpful information for you, but wondering if you could help me?
I have a Panasonic RX-41C boom box that has a 12 volt motor that is slowing down and seems to be failing. It looks like the MMI-6H2LWDR, but has only 2 terminals, i.e. 12 volts and ground. Are these motors set-up for external speed control? Do they spin CCW?

Have you checked the pinch rollers for slippage or the belt (M102-RFB52Z) first ?
Have you cleaned the heads ?

Yes !!
Found out that the other deck has or has developed the same symptoms.
During the last days I've disassembled the recording side motor and brought a wire outside and connected a new 22uF capacitor. (These new ones have the capacitor on the outside too, could this be the difference ?) I did clean the rotor and brushes and put a drop of oil on the bushings and it is quieter and seems to stabilize speed faster.
Anyway I've ordered two new ones. I've noticed also that the one on the left gets hotter after playing the same time.
Funny is.. if I put the same brand K7 (C60) on each deck and press play simultaneously, the two decks stop with 8-10 sec difference after calibrating with 3150 Khz speed K7.
I did the calibration at halfway play. High speed first as per manual.
Let's see how it goes when they arrive.
Usually those with 2 terminals have a hole with a trimmer inside on the back for adjusting the speed. Mine have holes, but no trimmer inside. Are these motors set-up for external speed control? Do they spin CCW?
With shaft facing forwards, check the direction.
Here is a thread with the motor disassembled:
