Markaudio Alpair 12P with Changtse MLTL Cabinet

Hello,

I believe that many MarkAudio 12P Full range driver owners built Super Pensil or Bented Bookshelf Speaker Cabinet.

I am wondering if anyone has tried this Changtse MLTL Cabinet design suggested on MarkAudio 12P Product page? (See attached cabinet design from MarkAudio Website).

It is narrow but very tall and rear vented design. I thought that it looks very interesting and wondering if anyone has experience this kind of cabinet for full range driver.

It is one of Scott’s so it will be a solid design.

Given the shape, i expect it is tuned for LF extention (as opposed to say the Pensil, which hasmore kick in th eupper bass. @Scottmoose

I expect many of the torrent of designs from Scott have yet to be built.

Concept / load tested. It's lower-middling in extension terms; with that range I was targeting a 'true' MLTL where the longitudinal provides more / most of the vent damping at tuning, with less forcing than a shorter cabinet with the same Fb.

I hope I am able to get it made (I do not have enough tools so thinking to get it built by professional).

A Fostex monitor had a design like that, but that one had a divider 2/3 the middle of it. So that was like a folded horn, but with just a vent cut instead of the normal horn exit.
