I'd have to check the schematic, but it sounds like digital noise - possibly to the volume control IC if it uses one. Could come through the muting circuit as well.
Okay, got the manual. The volume isn't electronic, so your noise is coming from elsewhere.
If you have any connection to cable TV, disconnect it and see if that helps. That's audio ground and / or antenna.
You need an oscilloscope next. If you aren't a technician, stop. Take your equipment to a qualified audio technician who is actually good at what he does. Not cheap!!!! A computer or other technician is not a good option here. It's too nice a piece of equipment to get hacked for a few dollars.
