Did you press the CapsLock key?
Best way to start is the clock.

Hi Elso,
I have read on your KWAK-CLOCK-text.doc this:
"The KWAK-CLOCK will work with any crystal in the range 8 to 24.576 MHz." but Marantz cd-84 had crystal 4 MHz.
It is possible mod your Clock for work at 4MHz?
Bye
Andrea

Hi Andrea, In fact it will work with the 4MHz crystal but it will not do any good as this clock is probably for system control (U COM). You need to replace the clock feeding the decoder and/or servoproccessor 😎
Hi Elso,
I have chech now the service manual.
The cd-84 have another crystal on U-COM Servo but the frequency clock is 3,58MHz.
I don't understand your advice.
Sorry, please explain better the question because I don't understand .
Thanks
Andrea

Hi, Please post a picture of the schematic with the crystal(s) involved.

The 4.2336MHz xtal at pins 7 and 8 of the SAA7000 is the one that matters. Pin 8 is the input.

Yes because it sinc. the digital-analogic conversion.
The problem is that all master clock are available only for 8-24MHz.
No
No, The KWAK-CLOCK will work perfectly with a 4MHz crystal. Even tried 2MHz.😎
Edit: could not open the zipfile.

Sorry Elso,
here you can see the picture that was on zip file.
These is a great news. Is it necessary do some mods for improve the 4MHz crystal, or just use this crystal on KWAK clock 7?
Thanks a lot

Hi Andrea,
No mods needed for the 4MHz crystal.
Picture is not legible. Please use GIF files for schematics. You can use Irfanview for converting files and resizing to make it fit to the forum.
