My CD60 spins the disc for a few seconds then stops. I have cleaned the laser and lubricated the bearing underneath but no luck. I also have a CD40 which skips intermittently.
I swapped over the laser assemblies. With the CD60 laser in the CD40 player it worked fine and played properly, proving there is nopthing wrong with the laser unit.
With the CD40 laser in the CD60 player it spun the disc on first start-up but then reverted to its earlier fault of not spinning except for a second or two.
What do I need to adjust ?

It seems I need to adjust the laser focus on a pot and measure 50mV across a certain resistor.
Can someone tell me which resistor this is and where to find it. Is this what is preventing the disc from spinning ?
