Marantz CD5000/Philips CD753 regulator
Hello
I want to upgrade the power regulator on my CD players. Currently is a 5V fixed 7805 regulator - L7805CV.

I had a few on mind but I am not sure if its suited
LP3853 and LP3875 as they are low dropout voltage. LM309 with 40 vrms noise. or maybe LM2940-5.0

In these players the supply rail and the individual chips are usually decoupled by a RC combination. I guess you'd better try to exchange the resistors by inductors, say 47uH or a little bigger.
