I have 2 days off work....
Yesterday I went out and cycled 70 miles, making me feel both healthy and ill.
Today I fire up my hifi and it sounded cold / unloved, 20mins later I decide that it needs to be thrashed a bit..... 12 O'clock 🙂
After a bit of Bjork I decide on a 'mix' folder of tracks by Rudimental, Propellerheads, Prodigy etc.
Five tracks in and it's 2 O'clock of the dial and I notice my neighbour 'Trish and her autistic son dancing in the carpark 🙂
Then I hear a 'thunk'...... unidentified noise = mad dash t' dial back to sane levels.......
A creak and foots-steps from the flat above, Then remember that I've got a new neighbour, who used to live next-door-but-one.
Same guy, before he was evicted, made my life a living hell he did.....
It's now the end of the track list and my hifi's sounding good.
But I have to remember that the guy has had a triple heart valve replacement and a double by-pass.
Still, makes me smile that he had 15 - 20mins of his own medicine.

I think it's huge for a man to ride a cycle about 70 miles. Also interested to know that it has made you both healthy and ill. Just amazing guy ........

Well, to people who don't cycle it's monumental, to those that ride for pleasure it's a long way.
I race (Road Race and Time Trial), so it's only slightly over average for an early season training jaunt. I ride with a club's 'fast group' tomorrow and will probably do close to 100 miles and now the days are slightly longer, I'll be stepping up to 300 - 400 (excluding early races) a week training till my first 'serious' 25 mile TT.
Then I drop down to 200 - 250 p/w depending on my race calendar.
Healthy and Ill is easy to explain:
Body produces lots of endorphins to cope with the level of exercise, once you stop moving the body stops producing the 'drugs' and fatigue effects kick in, leaving one feeling ill both mentally and physically.
Saturday we had a little speedskating race. Seven races in five hours is tough. Someone remembered that the rink does have a heating system, because at practice it feels like we are skating on outdoor ice.

Respect dude!
