What to prepare for the workshop:
- You only need to bring basic electronic tools as listed on the amp kit manual.
- Bring a learning for fun attitude, and knowing at the end of day you have great self pride to have made your own tube amp, and saved hundreds of dollars compared to buy from a retail store
Where to attend the workshop:
- We will host the workshop in Grant Fidelity warehouse in Airdrie, Alberta this time.. It is easily accessible from Calgary, Edmonton and you can even fly into Calgary international airport then take a 15 mins drive to arrive. If you are from out of town, you can also bring your better half for the day trip as there is a great big outlet shopping mall 15 mins drive away (Crossiron Mall) for your better half to spend the day shopping, browsing, watch a movie, try new outfits, sipping on Tim Hortons / Starbuck, reading a book at Chapters, while you are making your amp! There are also reasonably priced hotels (Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express) nearby if you decide to stay overnight.
Time of the workshop:
- Saturday Feb 27th from 9:30am to 4:30pm, so that you have plenty of time to ask questions, correct mistakes, learn a few tricks and make sure your finished project fully functioning to take home with.
